Relaxing by a Peaceful Waterfall Relaxation Script
Lie down in a comfortable position and close your eyes.
Allow yourself to start to relax. Let go of the cares of the day as you take a few moments just to relax.
Little by little, feel the tension melting away as your muscles soften…releasing tension as you settle in…letting go.
Breathe slowly and calmly, letting the air move softly in through your nose and out through your mouth. Let each breath relax you as you take in a relaxing breath of air, and let go of tension as you exhale. Imagine that the air you breathe relaxes you as you inhale. Picture letting go of tension, and the tension leaving your body as you breathe out. Breathing in relaxation…and breathing out tension.
Now start to create a picture in your mind. Imagine that you are walking through a valley next to a small stream. The water flows gently, meandering along a rocky stream bed.
The valley is wide and peaceful. You are walking on a path made of packed dirt and stones. The valley is covered with grass and flowers. There are small trees and shrubs near the path where you are walking, and in the distance there are larger trees. Hills on each side of the valley rise up on either side of you, and behind the hills there are tall mountains.
